This April marks the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day, a time to reflect on the devastating effects of climate change and celebrate the ways that we can protect our environment. Quite possibly, the single greatest action that an individual can take to reduce climate change is switching from a gas-powered vehicle to a clean electric vehicle.
For this reason, Plug In America, Sierra Club, and the Electric Auto Association created Drive Electric Earth Day. Earlier this year, the first Drive Electric Earth Day included 187 EV events across the country, but this is just a fraction of the thousands of general Earth Day events taking place. Now, you can help us get EVs displayed at even more Earth Day events in 2020!
Take the pledge! Contact upcoming Earth Day events in your area and tell them that you want to see electric vehicles included in their event. You can share this flyer (PDF) with more information to help them get started. Plus, if you’re willing to volunteer to help create an EV display, let us know!
Everyone who takes the pledge to contact their local Earth Day event by December 31, 2019 will be included in a drawing for a $50 Visa gift card.
I will tell my local Earth Day event that I want to see EVs on display and share this flyer (PDF) to help them get started!
