All winter long, EV drivers in those countries are logging millions of miles and stopping to charge as necessary. EV charging may take a little longer in very cold weather, but most newer EV models come with features like battery preconditioning through heat pump technology to mitigate this effect. In some models, you can enter your charging destination into the car’s navigation system and the car will precondition, or warm up, the battery so it will be ready to charge quickly once you reach the charging station and plug in.
