Electric Auto Association: 50 Year Anniversary

Electric Auto Association celebrates 50 years of leadership in 2017.

The Electric Auto Association is turning 50 this year! Since our founding in San Jose, CA in 1967, the membership of EAA, which spans the nation, has demonstrated that electric vehicles can be built and function with existing technology. Our membership converted hundreds, maybe thousands, of conventional cars into clean, quiet EVs when no major manufacturer would step up. Our California membership was involved in the effort to save the EVs built between 1997 and 2003.

When DontCrush.com became Plug In America about ten years ago, the EAA served as their non-profit fiscal sponsor, helping birth the influential organization you support today.

The EAA is an all-volunteer membership organization with over 70 chapters across the US, and 5 international chapters. We bring EVs to Paduka!

Along with Plug In America and Sierra Club, we have provided the organizational backbone for National Drive Electric Week since its inception.

Check out the EAA website at electricauto.org. Find a chapter near you (or start a new chapter!) and meet up with EV veterans and newbies, and help educate those coming to learn about the future of personal transportation.
