Dominique Lueckenhoff

Dominique Lueckenhoff brings over 30 years of expertise in environmental policy, public health, tech innovation, and sustainability to her service on the Plug In America board. She currently works as Executive Vice President at Hugo Neu Corporation. There she directs strategic corporate sustainability initiatives, EHS (environmental, health, and safety) programs, and green business growth, while guiding environmental stewardship and green investment and treatment technologies, including green infrastructure, EV fast-chargers, storage applications, renewable energy and related workforce training opportunities.

A recognized thought leader in green infrastructure and alternative financing, Ms. Lueckenhoff holds degrees in microbiology, biophysics, and chemistry as a National Science Foundation Fellow. A former senior executive at the U.S. EPA, she led synthesis and the creation of a number of nationally recognized programs, including the Green Highways Partnership and the Community Based Public Private Partnership (CBP3) performance-based model that made Green Stormwater Infrastructure financeable and scalable across numerous U.S. cities, while also advancing social and economic small business growth and job opportunities in underserved communities.

Her distinguished federal career includes senior executive and director-level positions at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where she spearheaded award-winning initiatives and innovations across multiple media programs. Her recent scientific “circular economy” endeavors include developing biochar-biotechnology solutions for treating legacy pollutants (PCBs, lead, mercury, heavy metals ) and emerging contaminants like PFAS.

Ms. Lueckenhoff’s commitment to environmental stewardship extends through multiple leadership roles:

Her entrepreneurial endeavors include founding Ecochar Environmental Solutions, where she serves as president and managing partner, developing scalable decarbonization and environmental restoration technologies, and Nature Guard 360, offering innovative biochar-based solutions for soil and water quality improvements across various landscapes.

Ms. Lueckenhoff has also served as a senior fellow at the U.S. Water Alliance and associate professor at Virginia Tech’s Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability (CLIGS). She has also been a member of Chief, a network supporting exemplary women executive leaders.
