Chris Neff has been driving electric vehicles since 2008. It all began when he got to drive a specially modified eBox or Scion xB, capable of V2G, while setting up for a utility tradeshow. It may have been a quick drive but the instant power of the EV was all it took – he was hooked.
Soon after Chris was able to secure a MiniE, BMWs experimental EV, as his main daily driver.
This was followed in 2011 by BMWs ActiveE, another test vehicle from BMW.
In 2014, Chris brought home his production 2014 BMW i3 which was followed by a 2017 i3, and his now current EV a 2020 BMW i3S.
Throughout the years of EV driving, Chris brought his cars to local car shows to show off the coolness of an EV but more importantly that EVs made sense and not only are they a blast to drive, you really do not need to change your lifestyle. He has also lectured about the benefits of driving EVs to universities and community programs.
Chris is an active blogger/writer on the benefits of EVs and has written articles for InsideEVs, Green Car Reports as well as other publications. He has also been involved in the production of EV commercials and documentaries.
Chris has created countless local events which included other fellow EV drivers and has organized large National Drive Electric Week events. Chris continues to attend local car shows with his EV and is often joined by many other EV drivers.
Chris has worked with Plug In America’s PlugStar program over the past year and half helping to train dealers, on both coasts, so they can sell more EVs.
