Andrew Wishnia is a Partner with Cityfi advancing the firm’s practice in climate, resiliency, permitting, and the decarbonization of transportation. Andrew brings extraordinary expertise in federal transportation and climate policy having most recently served the Biden-Harris Administration as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Climate Policy.
Andrew was an architect of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and has played an extraordinarily unique and pivotal role in crafting provisions and then deploying the transformative investments of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act in ways that advanced climate health and that expanded U.S. clean technology, good paying jobs and greater environmental justice.
Prior to joining the Administration, Andrew was a Senior Policy Advisor to the Committee on Environment and Public Works in the U.S. Senate.
During the Obama Administration, Andrew served as Special Assistant for Policy at the Federal Highway Administration, and Senior Program Manager at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Additionally, Andrew served as a legislative assistant to Congressman John Yarmuth in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Across these many roles, Andrew has been instrumental in guiding and informing national policy, and expanding equitable and sustainable mobility choices for the American people.
