Plug In America and its partners – Drive Electric USA, Electric Vehicle Association, EVHybridNoire and Sierra Club – unveiled new logos for their annual national campaigns National Drive Electric Week and Drive Electric Earth Month.
Feb. 1, 2024
LOS ANGELES – Plug In America, a national nonprofit accelerating the shift to electric vehicles, released the new logos for the two annual nationwide campaigns it organizes with Drive Electric USA, Electric Vehicle Association, EVHybridNoire and Sierra Club. National Drive Electric Week (NDEW) takes place in the fall while Drive Electric Earth Month (DEEM) happens during April.
Both campaigns feature events in nearly every state where people can test drive or experience electric vehicles (EVs) and learn more about the EV experience from owners. The groups recruit organizers to host local events that are registered on DriveElectricWeek.org and DriveElectricEarthMonth.org for NDEW and DEEM, respectively. Then, through those websites, EV drivers and the public can easily find the nearest event to them and sign up to volunteer or attend.
“We wanted to refresh the logos to give them a more modern look to keep up with the cutting-edge technology of EVs on the market,” Plug In America executive director Joel Levin said.
The two concepts share a color palette of navy blue, bright blue and light teal to provide more consistency for the public. This year the April campaign will be known as Drive Electric Earth Month instead of Drive Electric Earth Day. “Groups and cities are hosting sustainability-related events throughout the whole month and we wanted to adjust the name to better reflect the campaign’s duration,” Levin said.
Plug In America is currently recruiting event organizers for Drive Electric Earth Month in April. If you are interested in hosting an event, please visit DriveElectricEarthMonth.org for complete information and support resources, and to register as an event organizer. National Drive Electric Week will be Sept. 27 through Oct. 6 this year.
