Before getting into the plug-in car world, I drove a 2006 Prius hybrid. After making the switch to a 2013 Plug-In Prius, I’ve never looked back; the 11-mile electric range has saved me a ton of money on gas and it’s fun to drive. During my first year of ownership, I averaged 109 miles per gallon. During my second year, this increased to 120 miles per gallon. My last fill-up after eight weeks of driving revealed my current MPG at 126 miles per gallon!
