Russell developed a passion for electric vehicles from a young age and—understanding their vital role in modernizing automobile technology, creating cleaner communities, and drastically lowering emissions—has advocated for the transition to electrified transportation ever since. He is thrilled to join the policy team at Plug In America during an especially exciting time in this transition. Previously, Russell was an intern for Commissioner Patty Monahan at the California Energy Commission working on clean transportation issues. He is also a student leader for the Electric Auto Association, focused on EV education and outreach. Russell is a student at Pomona College seeking a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Analysis.
