purchased used 2013 September 2016 with 5,ooo milesfor $6,800. Level 2 charger installed $325. We’ve driven 4,000 miles (live in flat NE Ohio) cost per mile 2 cents. Added 3.4KW solar for $8,000 now car “fuel” cost is $0. Wife drives VW Jetta for her traveling sales job. Miev has exceeded our expectations on cost, comfort, range.

Leased the car in February, 2013 (2012 model). Purchased the car at lease end in February, 2015.
Maintenance has included air in the tires (new tires purchased March, 2017), water in the windshield wiper reservoir and windshield wiper blades.
Peppy acceleration, and turns on a dime. Great in town car. Approximately 31000 miles.
Potential electric vehicle owners need to look at their actual daily driving habits and not that one long trip that may be taken occasionally.
    Stay charged my friend.

I know some people that owned one. The major issue I would have with this is that of its low range. 200 mile per charge is the standard most consumers have before they go electric. Otherwise one in a multi car family would have to have an EV for commuting within the city and an ICE for long distance travel Either that or own a low milage EV and rent an ICE to travel long distances.

Ive owned this car since 2012 and it h
as been the best car I’ve ever owned in over 40-years. Zero maintenance costs for the past 5 years, and I think the only thing I bought was windshield solvent for about $2. No oil changes, no smog checks and almost hassle free driving in LA using the HOV lanes. Go get one!
