Description
Mercedes B250e

The 2017 Mercedes B-Class B250e Electric Drive (formerly “Bluzero E-Cell” or “B-Class E-Cell”) is an all-electric hatchback based on Mercedes’ B-Class body style. The electric B-Class is powered by a 36 kWh battery pack and 132kW electric motor. Despite the large battery pack, the B-Class electric drive has a range of 87 miles, thanks to its higher than normal weight of 3,924 lbs.  While the B250e doesn’t feature fast charging, its Level 2 charging rate is 10kW, which recharges the car at a whopping 31 miles per hour.  The B250e will recharge in approximately three hours on Level 2 charging.

I also have a 2015 B Class ED. Mercedes says to only use the extended range button once in a while so you do not shorten the life of the battery.” In regards to towing, they do not recommend putting a tow hitch on the vehicle. Hope this helps.

I have gotten 123 miles on the full charge with my 2014 B250E

I own a 2015 B Class ED which comes standard with the extended range switch which fully charges the battery. The 87 mile range stated by the EPA is a rating for when the car defaults to a 28 kW charge. This can be overridden with a push of a button to go to the full capability of the 36 kW battery which I experience as providing well over 100 miles.of range.
