Description

The 2017 Focus Electric is based on Ford’s next generation Focus body. The vehicle is powered by 33.5 kWh of Li-ion batteries with active liquid cooling and has an all-electric EPA-certified range of 115 miles. The Focus Electric will communicate with the owners smart phone via MyFord Mobile. The inside of the Focus Electric consists of two LCD screens with Microsoft Sync and MyFord Touch. Using the five-way buttons on the steering wheel, you can customize your view in the two 4.2-inch LCD instrument cluster screens to show your battery charge status, distance to the next charging station and more. The Focus Electric’s seats contain 100% post industrial recycled material and the cushions use a bio-based polyurethane foam derived from the oils of various plant seeds such as soybeans.  The Focus Electric is able to utilize CSS DC Fast Charging to recharge at 50kW, adding over 75 miles in 30 minutes.

does it still have the large battery lump in the back of the Focus EV?
Does it still have a very inefficient Air Conditioner that drops 30 miles range when you have it on?

I had a 2013 on a 3 year lease. The battery help up great but the other 2 issues above along with low range compared to others made me switch.

I love my 2017 Ford Focus EV! I bought her on the last day of 2017. Got the CA $2500 rebate AND an extra $2000 for being low income retired! Then I was able to take $31K out of my IRA and “recharacterize” it into my ROTH IRA. All tax free! Got a $500 rebate from PG&E. All just great, and with the great price from Ford, my total cost for the vehicle was way less than even a hybrid. I’ve been driving a Prius since 2003 and Toyotas since 1979. So great to be back in a Ford And…With no emissions guilt!

The 2017 Ford Focus Electric now has Sync 3, not Microsoft Sync. It is a much better software product.
