New CA program offers EV assistance for low- to moderate-income residents

The Clean Vehicle Assistance Program provides grants and affordable financing to help low- to moderate-income Californians purchase a new or used hybrid or electric vehicle. The program’s goal is to make clean vehicles accessible and affordable to all who qualify and in doing so improve air quality for all. The program benefits participants on an individual level through the cost-savings of a high efficiency vehicle and on a community level through reduced tailpipe emissions, with a goal of cleaner, healthier air in our communities.

Beneficial State Foundation has been awarded $5 million by the State of California to offer offer qualified applicants grants of $2,500 for the purchase of a hybrid vehicle or $5,000 for the purchase of a plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle.
