Why am I a member of PlugInAmerica? Because one day I woke up. I woke up from the American dream. Like George Carlin says "They call it the American dream because you have to be asleep to believe it." And what do you do when you first wake up? You lift your head and take a look around.
That's where PIA comes in. We're here to help others who are just waking up to the reality that our oil-based economy is not in our best interest. We're here with fact-based information about all the latest developments in electric-drive technologies that are destined to make our oil dependence just another footnote in history.
But the most unique aspect of PIA is the diversity of our membership. It's not often you see rocket scientists, environmentalists, policy wonks, ex-CIA directors-- even the occasional ne'er-do-well actor-- all rubbing elbows at any single event. But it happens at ours. I guess we've found a common thread that connects us all: a desire to make our world a better place.
