Another Member of the RAV4EV 100,000 Miles or More Club
Plug In America is pleased to add Charlie McCollister's name to the growing list of drivers who have amassed 100,000 or more odometer miles on their RAV4 EVs. (See EVnut.com's Rav4EV Owner Gallery.)
In 2002 Charlie leased the RAV to replace his GM-confiscated EV1. Charlie drives the car approximately 20,000 miles a year and once drove it 118 miles on one full charge. He has no intention of surrendering this sturdy all-electric vehicle to Toyota and plans to slap down the necessary cash in December at lease end. As a testament to just how pleased Charlie is with the car's performance, he feels that the $17,000 required to ensure that the 100,000-thousand-mile RAV4 EV stays in his garage is money well-spent.
Charlie enjoys the car for the "clean air of it" and the "funderful", smooth driving experience. He believes that there are "smiles and smiles" left on his dependable RAV4 EV.
